Schweppes implements Lledó’s efficient lighting comprehensive solution

Orangina Schweppes has trusted in Lledo to illuminate efficiently its new bottling plant within its facilities in Toledo, located in the industrial area. Orangina Schweppes is the third largest soft drink maker by volume of Spain and the second by sales in the HoReCa chanel (hotel, restaurant and catering).

The project consisted in the integration of daylighting systems LledoSunopticsand LED luminaires for industry S840. Both systems interact through the implementation of a control system of dimmable lighting from Lutron that communicates via 0-10V protocol within the factory area reserved for washing and sanitizing glass containers.

With regard to natural lighting, it was installed LledoSunoptics SignaturaSeries with double glazed, model 4070, with more than two square meters to illuminate a wider area of the room. A 3% of use of the roof will provide estimated savings of up to 43% due to the dimming of lighting. Illuminance levels measured at noon in a sunny day in January were above 1000 lux. Well above the required ones. The valuation of natural lighting by the factory employees is very positive.

Besides managing the seamless integration between daylight and artificial lightthrough light sensors, providing the above mentioned energy savings, the system allows the factory staff to set manually the lighting level. From a control point, one person can adjust the lighting level needed at each time, thus achieving a large reduction in power consumption as well as increasing comfort and personal productivity.

High-bay luminaires S840 are dimmed depending on the amount of natural light, making a more efficient space and with lighting levels perfectly defined in the task area, optimizing at the most its consumption.
